Tamara Shaw

Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor

Tamara brings over 10 years of experience as a Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. She is passionate about Physiotherapy for dancers, thriving on the challenge of working with clients who push their bodies to the limits of flexibility, endurance, and strength. Tamara has conducted numerous workshops with dancers, focusing on safe stretching, strengthening, and preparing them for pointe work. She specializes in pre-pointe assessments for younger dancers.

Tamara is also dedicated to supporting pre and post-natal clients. Her expertise includes core and pelvic floor strengthening during and after pregnancy, safe exercise practices, and treatment for pregnancy-related conditions and pain. She leads our Mums and Bubs classes, catering to the needs of new and expectant mothers.

Additionally, Tamara is trained in advanced Dry Needling and employs hands-on manual therapy techniques in her physiotherapy sessions.

Taylor Just

Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor

Taylor earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from James Cook University in Townsville in 2019 and is deeply committed to delivering holistic, client-centered care. Her expertise focuses on treating injuries related to the spine, pelvis, lower limbs, and sports.

Her passion for physiotherapy was sparked by a rich 13-year background in dance in her hometown of Mackay, where she trained in ballet, jazz, tap, cabaret, contemporary, and Latin dance.

In her spare time, Taylor is passionate about staying active and balanced through Body Pump and yoga. Both activities not only support her personal wellness but also enrich her professional perspective, allowing her to integrate a diverse range of exercise principles into her physiotherapy practice.

Taylor is a certified Clinical Pilates Instructor, proficient in both mat and equipment/reformer Pilates. She values how Pilates improves core strength, muscular control, flexibility, and overall physical conditioning. Furthermore, Taylor has pursued additional training in dry needling and is dedicated to expanding her knowledge through advanced clinical courses to enhance her skills in injury treatment and management.



Sophie Watson

Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor

Sophie, a graduate of James Cook University Townsville with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, has become a valued member of the Core Movement NQ team.

Her passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy was sparked by her early involvement in representative basketball and netball. Currently, Sophie plays Premier League netball for the Highlanders Netball Club and serves as a sports trainer for the Townsville City Netball Association's junior competition. She specializes in rehabilitation for sports injuries and is dedicated to helping individuals regain their previous level of function after surgery.

Sophie is a certified Pilates instructor, skilled in both Matwork and Reformer Pilates. She enjoys leading both individual and group exercise classes at Core Movement. Additionally, Sophie is trained in dry needling and is enthusiastic about advancing her career at Core Movement. She is committed to delivering professional, holistic treatment tailored to your unique needs.

Sophie currently works part-time at Core Movement NQ. Available on Tuesdays.


Nathanael Taviringana

Exercise Physiologist and Clinical Pilates Instructor

Nathanael, a North Queensland local from Mackay, graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology. His passion for sport and exercise, combined with a desire to enhance resilience to injury, boost performance, manage pain, and improve overall quality of life through evidence-based movement and exercise, inspired him to pursue a career in Exercise Physiology.

Nathanael has a strong interest in using exercise to support mental health, address neurological disorders, and manage chronic conditions such as cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. He is dedicated to applying his knowledge and skills to help individuals achieve their health and wellness goals.

Nathanael currently runs our Junior exercise classes.

Anita Bellamy

Receptionist

Anita is the welcoming face of Core Movement NQ, ensuring a smooth and friendly experience for all our clients. With excellent organizational and communication skills, she handles appointment scheduling, provide information about our services, and assist with administrative tasks.


Kellie Royan

Receptionist

With a passion for helping others and strong organizational skills, Kellie ensures every patient feels cared for from the moment they arrive. Outside of work, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family.
